On 16th November 2014 OWOS participated in the 4th edition of the medical camp in Kerege, Tanzania. The camp is organized annually by the Rotary Club of Dar es Salaam, Oyster Bay. Dr. Benalal Carolina, Dr. Gayoso Guillermo Ortega and Ana Perez Lorenzo along with OWOS volunteers made up the dental team at the camp. This was the first time that a dental team had been part of the medical camp. Throughout the day 750 patients received consultations from various specialists such as ophthalmology and gynecology as well as malaria tests and HIV tests. The OWOS dental teams saw 46 patients and carried out 36 emergency including extractions and drainage of abscesses.
